✧ “What I fear most for you is what the earth produces or the splendor of the world.” A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, does good come with evil?” He said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell silent until we thought that revelation was coming down upon him. He was seized by perspiration or breathlessness, then he recovered and said, “Where is the questioner?” He said, “Here I am, and I intended only good.” He said, “Good does not come except with good. Indeed, everything that spring causes to grow kills by bloating or nearly so, except the eater of green vegetation: it eats until its flanks are full, then it faces the sun and defecates, then urinates, then returns and eats again. Indeed, this wealth is sweet and green. Whoever takes it by its right will be blessed in it, and whoever takes it without its right will not be blessed in it, and he will be like one who eats but never is satisfied. The upper hand is better than the lower hand.”
