✧ When Mu‘adh b. Jabal came from Syria, he prostrated to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “What is this?” He said, “O Messenger of Allah, I came to Syria and saw them prostrating to their patricians and bishops, so I wanted to do that for you.” He said, “Do not do it. If I were to command anything to prostrate to anything, I would command a woman to prostrate to her husband. By the One in Whose hand is my soul, a woman does not fulfill the right of her Lord until she fulfills the right of her husband, such that if he were to ask her for herself while she is on a camel saddle, she would not refuse him.”
