✧ The companionship of married couples

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تَصُومَ وَزَوْجُهَا شَاهِدٌ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ وَلَا تَأْذَنُ لِرَجُلٍ فِي بَيْتِهَا وَهُوَ لَهُ كَارِهٌ وَمَا تَصَدَّقَتْ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ فَلَهُ نِصْفُ صَدَقَتِهَا وَإِنَّمَا خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ»

✧ “It is not lawful for a woman to fast while her husband is present except with his permission, nor to allow a man into his house when he dislikes it. And whatever charity she gives, half of its reward is his. She was created from a rib.”
