Translation

✧ “Any man who calls his wife and she does not respond to him, and he spends the night angry with her until morning, the angels curse her until she wakes.”

And Sulaymān b. Sayf narrated it from Wahb b. Jarīr, from Shuʿbah, from Muḥammad b. Juḥādah, from Abū Ḥāzim, from Abū Hurayrah, and he erred in it regarding Shuʿbah. The correct version is what Ibn Ṣāʿid narrated to us, he said: Bundār narrated to us, Ibn Abī ʿAdī narrated to us, from Shuʿbah, from Sulaymān al-Aʿmash, from Abū Ḥāzim, from Abū Hurayrah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If a man calls his wife to his bed and she refuses to come, the angels curse her until the morning." Al-Bukhārī recorded it from Bundār, from Ibn ʿAdī. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. al-Ḥasan al-Naqqāsh narrated to us, ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Sahl b. Bakht al-Naṣībī narrated to us, Abū Dāwūd Sulaymān b.
