✧ A man came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a daughter of his and said: O Messenger of Allah, this is my daughter; she refuses to marry. The Prophet ﷺ said to her: “Obey your father.” She said: By the One who sent you with the truth, I will not marry until you tell me what the right of the husband is over his wife. The Prophet ﷺ said: “The right of the husband over his wife is that if there were a sore on him and she licked it, she would not have fulfilled his right.” She said: By the One who sent you with the truth, I will never marry. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not marry them except with the permission of their families.”
