أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى
إِذَا هَمَّ عَبْدِي بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبْتُهَا لَهُ حَسَنَةً فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا لَهُ عَشْرَ حَسَنَاتٍ وَإِنْ هَمَّ عَبْدِي بِسَيِّئَةٍ وَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا لَمْ أَكْتُبْهَا عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا وَاحِدَةً»

✧ When My servant intends a good deed but does not do it, I write it for him as a good deed. If he does it, I write it for him as ten good deeds. And if My servant intends an evil deed but does not do it, I do not write it against him. If he does it, I write it as one.
