أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللَّهِ جَلَّ وَعَلَا قَالَ «مَنْ هَمَّ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبْتُ لَهُ حَسَنَةً فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا إِلَى سَبْعِ مِائَةٍ وَإِنْ هَمَّ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَلَمْ يَعْمَلْهَا لَمْ أَكْتُبْ عَلَيْهِ فَإِنْ عَمِلَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا عَلَيْهِ سَيِّئَةً وَاحِدَةً»

✧ On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, from Allah, Mighty and Exalted, who said: "Whoever intends a good deed but does not do it, I write for him a good deed. If he does it, I write it as ten times its like up to seven hundred. And whoever intends an evil deed but does not do it, I do not write it against him. If he does it, I write it against him as one evil deed."
