✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, “O Messenger of Allah, when is the Hour?” The Prophet ﷺ stood up for prayer, and when he finished the prayer he said, “Where is the one who asked about his Hour?” The man said, “Here I am, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “What have you prepared for it?” He said, “I have not prepared much for it in terms of prayer or fasting,” or he said, “I have not prepared much in terms of deeds, except that I love Allah and His Messenger.” The Prophet ﷺ said, “A person will be with whom he loves,” or he said, “You will be with whom you love.” Anas said, “I have not seen the Muslims rejoice over anything after Islam as much as they rejoiced over this.”
