✧ While we were in a garden belonging to Banu al-Najjar with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he was on a mule, his mule shied, and there were graves in the garden. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Who knows these graves?” A man said: “I do, O Messenger of Allah.” He said: “What are they?” He said: “They died in polytheism.” He said: “Were it not that you would not bury your dead, I would have prayed to Allah to make you hear the punishment of the grave that I hear. This nation will be tested in their graves.” Then he turned to us and said: “Seek refuge in Allah from the punishment of the Fire and the punishment of the grave, and seek refuge in Allah from trials, both apparent and hidden, and seek refuge in Allah from the trial of the Dajjal.”
