The Prophet's emigration ﷺ
Translation
✧ Al-Wāqidī, Ibn Jarīr, and others said: When ʿAbd Allāh b. Urayqiṭ al-Daylī returned to Makkah, the Messenger of God ﷺ and Abū Bakr sent with him Zayd b. Ḥārithah and Abū Rāfiʿ, the two clients of the Messenger of God ﷺ, to bring their families from Makkah. They sent with them two loads and five hundred dirhams to buy camels from Qudayd with it. They went and brought the two daughters of the Prophet ﷺ, Fāṭimah and Umm Kulthūm, his two wives Sawdah and ʿĀʾishah, her mother Umm Rūmān, the family of the Prophet ﷺ, and the family of Abū Bakr, in the company of ʿAbd Allāh b. Abī Bakr. The camel bolted with ʿĀʾishah and her mother Umm Rūmān during the journey, and Umm Rūmān began to say: 'Alas for the bride! Alas for my daughter!' ʿĀʾishah said: I heard a voice saying: 'Let go of its halter.' I let go of its halter, and it stopped by God's permission, and God, Mighty and Majestic, delivered us. They went on and camped at al-Sunḥ.
