The Night Journey and the Ascension
وَأَتَى عَلَى وَادٍ فَوَجَدَ رِيحًا طَيِّبَةً بَارِدَةً كَرِيحِ الْمِسْكِ، وَسَمِعَ صَوْتًا، فَقَالَ: يَا جِبْرِيلُ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالَ: هَذَا صَوْتُ الْجَنَّةِ تَقُولُ: يَا رَبِّ ايتِنِي بِمَا وَعَدْتَنِي، فَقَدْ كَثُرَتْ غُرَفِي وَإِسْتَبْرَقِي وَحَرِيرِي وَسُنْدُسِي، وَعَبْقَرِيَّ وَلُؤْلُؤِي وَمَرْجَانِي وَفِضَّتِي وَذَهَبِي، وَأَكْوَابِي وَصِحَافِي وَأَبَارِيقِي وَمَرَاكِبِي وَعَسَلِي وَمَائِي، وَلَبَنِي وَخَمْرِي. قَالَ: لَكِ كُلُّ مُسْلِمٍ وَمُسْلِمَةٌ وَمُؤْمِنٌ وَمُؤْمِنَةٌ، وَمَنْ آمَنَ بِي وَبِرُسُلِي، وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا، وَلَمْ يُشْرِكْ بِي، وَلَمْ يَتَّخِذْ مِنْ دُونِي أَنْدَادًا، وَمَنْ خَشِيَنِي فَهُوَ آمِنٌ، وَمَنْ سَأَلَنِي أَعْطَيْتُهُ، وَمَنْ أَقْرَضَنِي جَزَيْتُهُ، وَمَنْ تَوَكَّلَ عَلَيَّ كَفَيْتُهُ، إِنِّي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا، لَا أُخْلِفُ الْمِيعَادَ، وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ. قَالَتْ: قَدْ رَضِيتُ.
Translation
✧ He came upon a valley and found a pleasant, cool breeze like the scent of musk, and he heard a voice. He said, "O Jibrīl, what is this?" He said, "This is the voice of Paradise saying: 'O Lord, bring me what You promised me, for my chambers, my brocade, my silk, my fine silk, my carpets, my pearls, my coral, my silver, my gold, my cups, my platters, my pitchers, my mounts, my honey, my water, my milk, and my wine have become abundant.' He said: 'To you belong every Muslim man and Muslim woman, every believing man and believing woman, and whoever believed in Me and My messengers, and did righteous deeds, and did not associate anything with Me, and did not take besides Me equals. Whoever fears Me is secure; whoever asks Me, I give him; whoever lends to Me, I repay him; whoever relies on Me, I suffice him. Indeed I am Allah, there is no god but I; I do not break the promise. The believers have succeeded, and blessed is Allah, the best of creators.' It said: 'I am content.'"
