The story of the creation of Adam (peace be upon him)
الْوَقْتِ الَّذِي أُخْرِجَ فِيهِ آدم من الجنة رَوَى سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: "فِي يَوْمِ الْجُمْعَةِ خُلِقَ آَدَمُ وَفِيهِ أُهْبِطَ" . وَرَوَى أَبُو صَالِحٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: أَنَّ آدَمَ أُخْرِجَ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ، صَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ وَصَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ. وَقَدْ ذَكَرْنَا أَنَّهُ أُسْكِنَ وَأُخْرِجَ فِي سَاعَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ مِنْ سَاعَاتِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمَ. قَالَ ابْنُ جَرِيرٍ: فَأُهْبِطَ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ. وَقَالَ أَبُو الْعَالِيَةِ: أُخْرِجَ آدَمُ مِنَ الْجَنَّةِ لِلسَّاعَةِ التَّاسِعَةِ، أَوِ الْعَاشِرَةِ مِنْهُ، وَأُهْبِطَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ لِتِسْعِ سَاعَاتٍ مَضَيْنَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ،
Translation
✧ The time at which Adam was brought out of the Garden Saʿd b. ʿUbādah narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: "On Friday Adam was created, and on it he was sent down." Abū Ṣāliḥ narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās: that Adam was brought out between the two prayers, the noon prayer and the afternoon prayer. We have already mentioned that he was settled in and brought out in a single hour of the hours of that day. Ibn Jarīr said: So he was sent down before sunset. Abū al-ʿĀliyah said: Adam was brought out of the Garden at the ninth or tenth hour of it, and was sent down to the earth after nine hours of that day had passed.
