Genealogy of Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Some Accounts of His Forefathers and Ancestors
قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: فَقَالَتْ الْيَمَنُ وَقُضَاعَةُ: قُضَاعَةُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ حِمْيَرَ. وَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ الْجُهَنِيُّ، وَجُهَيْنَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ لَيْثِ بْنِ سَوْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ بْنِ الْحَافِ بْنِ قُضَاعَةَ: نَحْنُ بَنُو الشَّيْخِ الْهِجَانِ الْأَزْهَرَ قُضَاعَةَ بْنَ مَالِكِ بْنِ حِمْيَرِ النَّسَبِ الْمَعْرُوفِ غَيْرِ الْمُنْكَرِ فِي الْحَجَرِ الْمَنْقُوشِ تَحْتَ الْمِنْبَرِ
Translation
✧ Ibn Hishām said: The Yemen and Quḍāʿah said: Quḍāʿah b. Mālik b. Ḥimyar. And ʿAmr b. Murrah al-Juhanī said, and Juhaynah is b. Zayd b. Layth b. Sawd b. Aslam b. al-Ḥāf b. Quḍāʿah: We are the sons of the venerable elder, the pure, the radiant, Quḍāʿah b. Mālik b. Ḥimyar, of the well-known lineage, not denied, in the inscribed stone beneath the pulpit.
