Genealogy of Our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Some Accounts of His Forefathers and Ancestors
[ أَوْلَادُ مُدْرِكَةَ وَخُزَيْمَةَ ] قَالَ ابْنُ إسْحَاقَ: فَوَلَدَ مُدْرِكَةُ بْنُ إلْيَاسَ رَجُلَيْنِ: خُزَيْمَةَ بْنَ مُدْرِكَةَ، وَهُذَيْلَ بْنَ مُدْرِكَةَ؛ وَأُمُّهُمَا امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ قُضَاعَةَ. فَوَلَدَ خُزَيْمَةُ بْنُ مُدْرِكَةَ أَرْبَعَةَ نَفَرٍ: كِنَانَةَ بْنَ خُزَيْمَةَ، وَأَسَدَ بْنَ خُزَيْمَةَ، وَأَسَدَةَ بْنَ خُزَيْمَةَ، وَالْهُونَ بْنَ خُزَيْمَةَ، فَأُمُّ كِنَانَةَ عُوَانَةُ بِنْتُ سَعْدِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عَيْلَانَ بْنِ مُضَرَ. قَالَ ابْنُ هِشَامٍ: وَيُقَالُ الْهَوْنُ بْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ.
Translation
✧ [The Children of Mudrikah and Khuzaymah] Ibn Isḥāq said: Mudrikah b. Ilyās begot two men: Khuzaymah b. Mudrikah, and Hudhayl b. Mudrikah; their mother was a woman from Quḍāʿah. Khuzaymah b. Mudrikah begot four persons: Kinānah b. Khuzaymah, Asad b. Khuzaymah, Asadah b. Khuzaymah, and al-Hūn b. Khuzaymah. The mother of Kinānah was ʿAwānah bt. Saʿd b. Qays b. ʿAylān b. Muḍar. Ibn Hishām said: It is also said al-Hawn b. Khuzaymah.
