Then the year 358 AH began
فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، عَاشِرَ الْمُحَرَّمِ، عَمِلَ أَهْلُ بَغْدَاذَ مَا قَدْ صَارَ عَادَةً مِنْ إِغْلَاقِ الْأَسْوَاقِ، وَتَعْطِيلِ الْمَعَاشِ، وَإِظْهَارِ النَّوْحِ وَالْمَأْتَمِ، بِسَبَبِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمَا.
Translation
✧ In this year, on the tenth of al-Muḥarram, the people of Baghdādh did what had become customary of closing the markets, suspending livelihoods, and displaying wailing and mourning on account of al-Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī, may God's good pleasure be upon them both.
