✧ Mention of the situation of the ʿAlid missionary Abū ʿAbdillāh Muḥammad b. al-Ḥusayn, known as Ibn al-Dāʿī, had fled from Baghdādh. He was a Ḥasanī from the descendants of al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī, ؓ, and he traveled toward the lands of al-Daylam, leaving his family and dependents in Baghdādh. When he reached the lands of al-Daylam, ten thousand men gathered around him. Ibn al-Nāṣir al-ʿAlawī fled from before him, and Ibn al-Dāʿī assumed the title al-Mahdī li-Dīn Allāh.
