Translation
✧ In this year, Muʿizz al-Dawlah sent Subuktikīn with an army to Shahrazūr in Rajab, and with him were mangonels to conquer it. He marched to it and stayed in that province until Muḥarram of the year three hundred forty-four, then returned without being able to conquer it, because news reached him of the departure of the armies of Khurāsān to al-Rayy, as we shall mention, if God—exalted—wills. So he returned to Baghdādh and entered it in Muḥarram.
