ذِكْرُ مَنْ تُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ مِنَ الْأَكَابِرِ 2519 - أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، أَبُو الْحَسَنِ النَّاقِدُ وُلِدَ بِمِصْرَ وَحَدَّثَ عَنِ الرَّبِيعِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ وَغَيْرِهِ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً ظَرِيفًا. تُوُفِّيَ فِي صَفَرٍ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ. 2520 - [أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ سَلْمَانَ السَّرِيُّ الْحِمْصِيُّ حَدَّثَ عَنْ جَمَاعَةٍ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً تُوُفِّيَ بِمِصْرَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. 2521 - الْحَسَنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ . كَتَبَ كَثِيرًا وَوَلِيَ الْقَضَاءَ بِمِصْرَ وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي جُمَادَى الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ]. 2522 - الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ بْنِ بَابْشَاذَ، أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْمِصْرِيُّ . قَدِمَ بِبَغْدَادَ، وَدَرَسَ فِقْهَ أَبِي حَنِيفَةَ عَلَى الصَّيْمَرِيِّ، وَدَرَسَ وَقَرَأَ بِقِرَاءَاتٍ عِدَّةٍ، وَحَفِظَ طَرَفًا مِنْ عِلْمِ الْأَدَبِ، وَالْحِسَابِ، وَالْجَبْرِ، وَالْمُقَابَلَةِ، وَكَانَ مُفْرِطَ الذَّكَاءِ، قَوِيَّ الْفَهْمِ، وَكَتَبَ الْحَدِيثَ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً غَزِيرَ الْعَقْلِ، وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ يَهُودِيًّا فَأَسْلَمَ وَذُكِرَ بِالْعِلْمِ، تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، وَدُفِنَ فِي مَقْبَرَةِ الشُّونِيزِيِّ وَمَا بَلَغَ الْأَرْبَعِينَ. 2523 - الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ النَّاصِرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى الْهَادِي بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْكُوفِيُّ . قَدِمَ بَغْدَادَ وَحَدَّثَ بِهَا عَنْ أَبِيهِ، رَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ حَيَّوَيْهِ، وَكَانَ أَحَدَ وُجُوهِ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَعُظَمَائِهِمْ وَكُبَرَائِهِمْ وَصُلَحَائِهِمْ، وَرِعًا خَيِّرًا، فَاضِلًا، فَقِيهًا، ثِقَةً صَدُوقًا، وَكَانَ أَحَدَ شُهُودِ الْحَاكِمِ، ثُمَّ تَرَكَ الشَّهَادَةَ وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. 2524 - [عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَلْمَوَيْهِ الرَّازِيُّ . قَدِمَ مِصْرَ وَتَفَقَّهَ بِهَا عَلَى مَذْهَبِ الشَّافِعِيِّ، وَحَدَّثَ وَأَفْتَى وَكَانَ يَجْلِسُ فِي حَلْقَةِ الْمُزَنِيِّ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْجَامِعِ الْعَتِيقِ، وَتُوُفِّيَ بِمِصْرَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ] 2525 - مُحَمَّدٌ الْقَاهِرُ بِاللَّهِ [أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ]، ابْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمُعْتَضِدِ بِاللَّهِ . وَلِيَ الْخِلَافَةَ سَنَةً وَسِتَّةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَسَبْعَةَ أَيَّامٍ، وَكَانَ بَطَّاشًا فَخَافَهُ كُلُّ أَحَدٍ، حَذِرَ مِنْهُ وَزِيرُهُ أَبُو عَلِيِّ بْنُ مُقْلَةَ فَاسْتَتَرَ، وَأَغْرَى الْجُنْدَ بِهِ فَخَلَعُوهُ وَسَمَلُوا عَيْنَيْهِ، ثُمَّ خَرَجَ مِنْ دَارِ السُّلْطَانِ فِي سَنَةِ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ إِلَى دَارِ ابْنِ طَاهِرٍ، وَتُوُفِّيَ فِي جُمَادَى الْآخِرَةِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، وَدُفِنَ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِيهِ الْمُعْتَضِدِ فِي خِلَافَةِ الْمُطِيعِ، وَكَانَ عُمْرُهُ اثْنَتَيْنِ وَخَمْسِينَ سَنَةً. 2526 - مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ الْخَالِقِ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْعَتَكِيُّ الْبَزَّارُ . سَمِعَ خَلْقًا كَثِيرًا، وَرَوَى عَنْهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ وَابْنُ شَاهِينَ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً. وَتُوُفِّيَ يَوْمَ الْأَحَدِ لِعَشْرٍ خَلَوْنَ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ. 2527 - مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ، أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ مُحَدِّثُ عَصْرِهِ بِخُرَاسَانَ، سَمِعَ الْكَثِيرَ وَرَوَى عَنْهُ ابْنُ أَبِي الدُّنْيَا مِنْ كُتُبِهِ، وَكَانَ مُجَابَ الدَّعْوَةِ وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى [السَّمَاءِ] نَيِّفًا وَأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ: اسْمُ أُمِّي: آمِنَةُ [وَاسْمِي: مُحَمَّدٌ، وَاسْمُ أَبِي: عَبْدُ اللَّهِ] فَاسْمِي وَاسْمُ أُمِّي وَأَبِي يُوَافِقُ اسْمَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، وَاسْمَ أَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ تُوُفِّيَ فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. وَفِيهَا فِي الْمُحَرَّمِ، تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ قُرَابَةَ بِالْمَوْصِلِ، وَحُمِلَ تَابُوتُهُ إِلَى بَغْدَاذَ. وَفِيهَا تُوُفِّيَ أَبُو نَصْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَارَابِيُّ، الْحَكِيمُ الْفَيْلَسُوفُ ، صَاحِبُ التَّصَانِيفِ فِيهَا، وَكَانَ مَوْتُهُ بِدِمَشْقَ، وَكَانَ تِلْمِيذَ يُوحَنَّا بْنِ جِيلَانَ، وَكَانَتْ وَفَاةُ يُوحَنَّا أَيَّامَ الْمُقْتَدِرِ بِاللَّهِ. وَفِيهَا مَاتَ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ( عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ) الزَّجَّاجِيُّ النَّحْوِيُّ، وَقِيلَ: سَنَةَ أَرْبَعِينَ [ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ ].

✧ Mention of the notable figures who died in this year 2519 - Aḥmad b. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAlī b. Isḥāq, Abū al-Ḥasan al-Nāqid He was born in Egypt and narrated from al-Rabīʿ b. Sulaymān and others, and he was trustworthy and witty. He died in Ṣafar of this year. 2520 - [Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Faḍālah b. Salmān al-Sarī al-Ḥimṣī He narrated from a group and was trustworthy. He died in Egypt in this year. 2521 - Al-Ḥasan b. Isḥāq Abū Muḥammad al-Jawharī. He wrote a great deal, held the judiciary in Egypt, and died in Jumādā al-Ākhirah of this year.] 2522 - Al-Ḥasan b. Dāwūd b. Bābshādh, Abū Saʿīd al-Miṣrī. He came to Baghdad, studied the fiqh of Abū Ḥanīfah under al-Ṣaymarī, studied and recited according to several readings, and memorized a portion of the sciences of literature, arithmetic, algebra, and comparison. He was extremely intelligent and strong in understanding. He wrote down ḥadīth and was trustworthy and abundant in intellect. His father was a Jew who converted to Islam and was known for knowledge. Abū Saʿīd died in Dhū al-Qaʿdah of this year and was buried in the cemetery of al-Shūnīzī, and he had not reached forty. 2523 - Al-Ḥusayn b. Aḥmad al-Nāṣir b. Yaḥyā al-Hādī b. al-Ḥusayn b. Ibrāhīm b. Ismāʿīl b. al-Ḥasan b. al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Kūfī. He came to Baghdad and narrated there from his father. Ibn Ḥayyawayh narrated from him. He was one of the notables of Banū Hāshim, their great ones, elders, and righteous ones; pious, good, virtuous, a jurist, trustworthy, and truthful. He was one of the witnesses of the judge, then he abandoned testimony and died in this year. 2524 - [ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Salmawayh al-Rāzī. He came to Egypt and studied there according to the school of al-Shāfiʿī, narrated, issued legal opinions, and used to sit in the circle of al-Muzanī in the old congregational mosque. He died in Egypt in this year.] 2525 - Muḥammad al-Qāhir billāh [Commander of the Faithful], son of Aḥmad al-Muʿtaḍid billāh. He assumed the caliphate for one year, six months, and seven days. He was violent, so everyone feared him. His vizier Abū ʿAlī b. Muqlah was wary of him and went into hiding. He incited the troops against him, so they deposed him and gouged out his eyes. Then he left the sultan's palace in the year 333 to the house of Ibn Ṭāhir. He died in Jumādā al-Ākhirah of this year and was buried beside his father al-Muʿtaḍid during the caliphate of al-Muṭīʿ. His age was fifty-two years. 2526 - Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. ʿAmr b. ʿAbd al-Khāliq b. Khallād, Abū al-ʿAbbās al-ʿAtakī al-Bazzār. He heard from many people, and al-Dāraquṭnī and Ibn Shāhīn narrated from him. He was trustworthy. He died on Sunday, ten nights remaining of Shaʿbān of this year. 2527 - Muḥammad b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Aḥmad, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ṣaffār al-Aṣbahānī The ḥadīth scholar of his age in Khurasan. He heard a great deal, and Ibn Abī al-Dunyā narrated from him from his books. His supplication was answered, and he did not raise his head to the sky for more than forty years. He used to say: 'My mother's name is Āminah, my name is Muḥammad, and my father's name is ʿAbd Allāh. Thus my name and the names of my mother and father match the name of the Messenger of God and the names of his father and mother.' He died in Dhū al-Qaʿdah of this year. In this year in Muḥarram, Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Qurābah died in Mosul, and his coffin was carried to Baghdad. In this year, Abū Naṣr Muḥammad b. Muḥammad al-Fārābī, the wise philosopher, author of works on philosophy, died. His death was in Damascus. He was a student of Yuḥannā b. Jīlān, and Yuḥannā's death was in the days of al-Muqtadir billāh. In this year, Abū al-Qāsim ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Isḥāq al-Zajjājī, the grammarian, died. It is also said: in the year 340.
