Translation
✧ Among the events in it: That on Saturday, when eleven nights remained of al-Muḥarram, the people were alarmed at night [and they mounted guards]. The reason for that was: an animal was imagined by them that appeared at night on their rooftops, sometimes they thought it was a wolf, and sometimes they thought it was something else. They remained in that state for many days, then they calmed down. The beginning of that was from "Sūq al-Thulāthāʾ" [to elsewhere], then it spread to both sides.
