Then the Year 328 AH Began
وَفِي مُسْتَهَلِّ ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ: وَافَى رَسُولَ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْجَنَابِيِّ الْقُرْمُطِيِّ، فَأُطْلِقَ لَهُ مِنْ مَالِ السُّلْطَانِ خَمْسَةٌ وَعِشْرُونَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ مِنْ جُمْلَةِ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ دِينَارٍ، وَوُفِقَ عَلَيْهَا عَلَى أَنْ يُبَذْرِقَ بِالْحَاجِّ، فَبَذْرَقَهُمْ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ.
Translation
✧ At the beginning of Dhū al-Qaʿdah, the messenger of Abū Ṭāhir al-Jannābī al-Qarmaṭī arrived. Twenty-five thousand dinars from the sultan's treasury were released to him, out of a total of fifty thousand dinars, and it was agreed upon that he would escort the pilgrims. He escorted them this year.
