Then the Year 323 AH Began
وَفِي رَمَضَانَ اجْتَمَعَ جَمَاعَةٌ مِنَ الْأُمَرَاءِ عَلَى بَيْعَةِ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الْمُكْتَفِي وَظَهَرَ الْوَزِيرُ عَلَى أَمْرِهِمْ، فَحَبَسَ جَعْفَرًا، وَنُهِبَتْ دَارُهُ، وَحَبَسَ جَمَاعَةً مِمَّنْ كَانَ بَايَعَهُ، وَانْطَفَأَتْ نَارُهُ.
Translation
✧ In Ramadan, a group of commanders agreed to pledge allegiance to Jaʿfar b. al-Muktafī. The vizier discovered their affair, so he imprisoned Jaʿfar, and his house was plundered, and he imprisoned a group of those who had pledged allegiance to him, and his fire was extinguished.
