ذِكْرُ اسْتِيلَاءِ نَصْرِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ عَلَى كَرْمَانَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ خَرَجَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِلْيَاسَ مِنْ نَاحِيَةِ كَرْمَانَ إِلَى بِلَادِ فَارِسَ، وَبَلَغَ إِصْطَخْرَ، فَأَظْهَرَ لِيَاقُوتٍ أَنَّهُ يُرِيدُ [ أَنْ ] يَسْتَأْمِنَ إِلَيْهِ حِيلَةً وَمَكْرًا، فَعَلِمَ يَاقُوتٌ مَكْرَهُ، فَعَادَ إِلَى كَرْمَانَ، فَسَيَّرَ إِلَيْهِ السَّعِيدُ نَصْرُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ صَاحِبُ خُرَاسَانَ، مَاكَانَ بْنَ كَالِي فِي جَيْشٍ كَثِيفٍ، فَقَاتَلَهُ، فَانْهَزَمَ ابْنُ إِلْيَاسَ، وَاسْتَوْلَى مَاكَانُ عَلَى كَرْمَانَ، نِيَابَةً عَنْ صَاحِبِ خُرَاسَانَ. وَكَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِلْيَاسَ هَذَا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ نَصْرِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ، فَغَضِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَحَبَسَهُ، ثُمَّ شَفَعَ فِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ الْبَلْعَمِيُّ، فَأَخْرَجَهُ، وَسَيَّرَهُ مَعَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُظَفَّرِ إِلَى جُرْجَانَ، فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِخْوَتُهُ بِبُخَارَى، عَلَى مَا ذَكَرْنَاهُ، سَارَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِلْيَاسَ إِلَيْهِ فَصَارَ مَعَهُ، فَلَمَّا أَدْبَرَ أَمْرُهُ سَارَ مُحَمَّدٌ مِنْ نَيْسَابُورَ إِلَى كَرْمَانَ، فَاسْتَوْلَى عَلَيْهَا إِلَى هَذِهِ الْغَايَةِ، فَأَزَالَهُ مَاكَانُ عَنْهَا، فَسَارَ إِلَى الدِّينَوَرِ، وَأَقَامَ مَاكَانُ بِكَرْمَانَ، فَلَمَّا عَادَ عَنْهَا - عَلَى مَا نَذْكُرُهُ - رَجَعَ إِلَيْهَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِلْيَاسَ.
Translation
✧ Mention of the seizure of Kirmān by Naṣr b. Aḥmad In this year, Abū ʿAlī Muḥammad b. Ilyās went out from the region of Kirmān to the lands of Fārs, and reached Iṣṭakhr, and he made a show to Yāqūt that he wanted to seek safe-conduct to him, by way of stratagem and deceit. Then Yāqūt became aware of his deceit, so he returned to Kirmān. Then al-Saʿīd Naṣr b. Aḥmad, the ruler of Khurāsān, dispatched Mākān b. Kālī against him with a numerous army, and he fought him. Ibn Ilyās was defeated, and Mākān took possession of Kirmān as deputy for the ruler of Khurāsān. This Muḥammad b. Ilyās had been one of the companions of Naṣr b. Aḥmad, who became angry with him and imprisoned him. Then Muḥammad b. ʿUbayd Allāh al-Balʿamī interceded for him, and he released him and sent him with Muḥammad b. al-Muẓaffar to Jurjān. When Yaḥyā b. Aḥmad and his brothers revolted in Bukhārā, as we have mentioned, Muḥammad b. Ilyās went to him and joined him. When his affair turned away, Muḥammad went from Naysābūr to Kirmān and took possession of it up to this point. Then Mākān removed him from it, and he went to al-Dīnawar, while Mākān remained in Kirmān. When he left it—as we shall mention—Muḥammad b. Ilyās returned to it.
