Then the Year 318 AH Began
عَزْلِ نَاصِرِ الدَّوْلَةِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ عَنِ الْمَوْصِلِ ( وَوِلَايَةِ عَمَّيْهِ سَعِيدٍ وَنَصْرٍ ) فِي سَنَةُ ثَمَانِيَ عَشْرَةَ وَثَلَاثِمِائَةٍ، فِي رَبِيعٍ الْأَوَّلِ، عُزِلَ نَاصِرُ الدَّوْلَةِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَمْدَانَ عَنِ الْمَوْصِلِ، ( وَوَلِيَهَا عَمَّاهُ سَعِيدٌ وَنَصْرٌ ابْنَا حَمْدَانَ )، وَوَلِيَ نَاصِرُ الدَّوْلَةِ دِيَارَ رَبِيعَةَ، وَنَصِيبِينَ، وَسِنْجَارَ، وَالْخَابُورَ، وَرَأْسَ عَيْنٍ، وَمَعَهَا مِنْ دِيَارِ بَكْرٍ، مَيَّافَارِقِينُ وَأَرْزَنُ، ضَمِنَ ذَلِكَ بِمَالٍ مَبْلَغُهُ مَعْلُومٌ، فَسَارَ إِلَيْهَا، وَوَصَلَ سَعِيدٌ إِلَى الْمَوْصِلِ ( فِي رَبِيعٍ الْآخَرِ ).
Translation
✧ THE DISMISSAL OF NĀṢIR AL-DAWLAH B. ḤAMDĀN FROM AL-MAWṢIL (AND THE APPOINTMENT OF HIS PATERNAL UNCLES SAʿĪD AND NAṢR) In the year three hundred and eighteen, in Rabīʿ al-Awwal, Nāṣir al-Dawlah al-Ḥasan b. ʿAbd Allāh b. Ḥamdān was dismissed from al-Mawṣil, (and his paternal uncles Saʿīd and Naṣr, the two sons of Ḥamdān, were appointed over it). Nāṣir al-Dawlah was appointed over Diyār Rabīʿah, Naṣībīn, Sinjār, al-Khābūr, and Raʾs ʿAyn, and along with these, from Diyār Bakr, Mayyāfāriqīn and Arzan. He guaranteed all that for a sum of money whose amount was known. So he set out toward them, and Saʿīd arrived at al-Mawṣil in Rabīʿ al-Ākhir.
