The story of ʿĪsā b. Maryam (peace be upon him)
Translation
✧ Mention of the events during the time of ʿĪsā ﷺ Among them: the faith of the disciples (al-Ḥawāriyyūn): They are twelve men who followed ʿĪsā ﷺ. The People of the Book consider them messengers and name them: the first of them is Shamʿūn al-Ṣafā, then Andrīwās his brother, [then Rībdā, then Yūḥannā his brother], then Tūlūs, then Lūqā, then Barthamlā, then Thūmā, then Mattā the tax-collector, then Yaʿqūb b. Khalfā, then Shamʿūn al-ʿAttānī, then Mārqūsh. Ibn al-Jawzī said: These are the ones who asked ʿĪsā ﷺ for the sending down of the table-spread.
