The Year 217 AH
وَوَصَلَ الْمَأْمُونُ إِلَى مِصْرَ فِي الْمُحَرَّمِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، فَأُتِيَ بِعَبْدُوسٍ الْفِهْرِيِّ فَضُرِبَ عُنُقُهُ، وَعَادَ إِلَى الشَّامِ.
Translation
✧ Al-Maʾmūn arrived in Egypt in Muḥarram of this year. ʿAbdūs al-Fihrī was brought before him, and his neck was struck, and he returned to Syria.
