The Year 211 AH
وَفِيهَا أَمَرَ الْمَأْمُونُ مُنَادِيًا، فَنَادَى: بَرِئَتِ الذِّمَّةُ مِمَّنْ ذَكَرَ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِخَيْرٍ، أَوْ فَضَّلَهُ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ.
Translation
✧ In this year, al-Maʾmūn ordered a crier, and he called out: The protection (dhimmah) is absolved from anyone who mentions Muʿāwiyah with good, or prefers him over anyone among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
