The Year 208 AH
ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ ثَمَانٍ وَمِائَتَيْنِ فِيهَا ذَهَبَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ مُصْعَبٍ أَخُو طَاهِرٍ فَارًّا مِنْ خُرَاسَانَ إِلَى كَرْمَانَ فَعَصَى بِهَا ، فَسَارَ إِلَيْهِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ فَحَاصَرَهُ حَتَّى نَزَلَ قَهْرًا، فَذَهَبَ بِهِ إِلَى الْمَأْمُونِ فَعَفَا عَنْهُ فَاسْتَحْسَنَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ.
Translation
✧ Then the year 208 AH began. In it, al-Ḥasan b. al-Ḥusayn b. Muṣʿab, the brother of Ṭāhir, fled from Khurāsān to Kirmān and rebelled there. Aḥmad b. Abī Khālid marched against him and besieged him until he surrendered under compulsion. He took him to al-Maʾmūn, who pardoned him, and this was deemed commendable of him.
