The Year 206 AH
وَفِيهَا عُزِلَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ عَنْ قَضَاءِ الْمَوْصِلِ ، فَانْحَدَرَ إِلَى بَغْدَاذَ، وَتَوَلَّى الْقَضَاءَ بِهَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ. وَفِيهَا وَلَّى الْمَأْمُونُ دَاوُدَ بْنَ مَاسِحُورَ مُحَارَبَةَ الزُّطِّ، وَأَعْمَالَ الْبَصْرَةِ، وَكُوَرَ دِجْلَةَ وَالْيَمَامَةِ وَالْبَحْرَيْنِ.
Translation
✧ In this year, al-Ḥasan b. Mūsā al-Ashyab was dismissed from the judiciary of al-Mawṣil, and he went down to Baghdādh, and ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib al-Mawṣilī assumed the judiciary there. In this year, al-Maʾmūn appointed Dāwūd b. Māsiḥūr to fight the Zutt, and over the districts of al-Baṣrah, the regions of the Tigris, al-Yamāmah, and al-Baḥrayn.
