وَفِي شَعْبَانَ مِنْهَا عَقَدَ مُحَمَّدٌ الْأَمِينُ أَرْبَعَمِائَةِ لِوَاءٍ، مَعَ كُلِّ لِوَاءٍ أَمِيرٌ، وَبَعَثَهُمْ لِقِتَالِ هَرْثَمَةَ بْنِ أَعْيَنَ فَالْتَقَوْا فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَكَسَرَهُمْ هَرْثَمَةُ، وَأَسَرَ مُقَدَّمَهُمْ عَلِيَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ نَهِيكٍ، وَبَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَى الْمَأْمُونِ
Translation
✧ In Shaʿbān of this year, Muḥammad al-Amīn bound four hundred banners, with each banner an amīr, and sent them to fight Harthamah b. Aʿyan. They met in the month of Ramaḍān, and Harthamah defeated them and captured their commander ʿAlī b. Muḥammad b. ʿĪsā b. Nahīk, and sent him to al-Maʾmūn.
