The year 194 AH
وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ فِي رَبِيعٍ الْأَوَّلِ: عَقَدَ الْأَمِينُ لِابْنِهِ مُوسَى عَلَى جَمِيعِ مَا اسْتُخْلِفَ عَلَيْهِ، وَجَعَلَ [صَاحِبَ ] أَمْرِهِ كُلِّهِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ عِيسَى بْنِ مَاهَانَ، وَعَلَى شُرْطَتِهِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عِيسَى بْنِ نُهَيْكٍ، وَعَلَى حَرَسِهِ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عِيسَى بْنِ نُهَيْكٍ، وَعَلَى خَرَاجِهِ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُبَيْدَةَ، وَعَلَى دِيوَانِ رَسَائِلِهِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ صَالِحٍ.
Translation
✧ And in this year, in Rabīʿ al-Awwal: Al-Amīn appointed his son Mūsā over all that he had been made successor to, and made ʿAlī b. ʿĪsā b. Māhān in charge of all his affairs, and Muḥammad b. ʿĪsā b. Nuhayk over his police, and ʿUthmān b. ʿĪsā b. Nuhayk over his guard, and ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿUbayda over his land tax, and ʿAlī b. Ṣāliḥ over his chancery.
