مَنْ تُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ مِنَ الْأَكَابِرِ الْبَخْتَرِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَخْتَرِيُّ، أَبُو صَالِحٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ الْمُعَدَّلُ الْبَخْتَرِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَخْتَرِيُّ، أَبُو صَالِحٍ اللَّخْمِيُّ الْمُعَدَّلُ. حَدَّثَ عَنْ كَامِلِ بْنِ طَلْحَةَ. رَوَى عَنْهُ: الطَّبَرَانِيُّ. وَقَالَ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ: لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ. تُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. خَالِدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْخَرَّازُ الرِّقِّيُّ خَالِدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ، أَبُو يَزِيدَ الْخَرَّازُ الرِّقِّيُّ. سَمِعَ جَعْفَرَ بْنَ بَرْقَانَ، وَفُرَاتَ بْنَ سَلْمَانَ. رَوَى عَنْهُ: أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، وَقَالَ: هُوَ ثِقَةٌ. وَكَانَ شَدِيدَ التَّحَفُّظِ فِي الضَّبْطِ وَالتَّوَقِّي، نَزَلَ الرِّقَّةَ فَتُوُفِّيَ بِهَا فِي ذِي الْقَعْدَةِ مِنْ هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ. عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ السَّبِيعِيُّ، أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْهَمْدَانِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ السَّبِيعِيُّ، أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْهَمْدَانِيُّ الْكُوفِيُّ. رَأَى جَدَّهُ أَبَا إِسْحَاقَ، إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنْهُ، وَسَمِعَ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنَ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، وَهِشَامَ بْنَ عُرْوَةَ، وَالْأَعْمَشَ، وَالْأَوْزَاعِيَّ، وَشُعْبَةَ، وَمَالِكَ بْنَ أَنَسٍ، وَابْنَ إِسْحَاقَ. رَوَى عَنْهُ: الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، وَابْنُ رَاهَوَيْهِ، وَكَانَ ثِقَةً ثَبَتًا، وَانْتَقَلَ عَنِ الْكُوفَةِ إِلَى بَعْضِ ثُغُورِ الشَّامِ فَسَكَنَهَا. قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ: كُنَّا نُخْبَرُ أَنَّ عِيسَى كَانَ سَنَةً فِي الْغَزْوِ، وَسَنَةً فِي الْحَجِّ، وَقَدْ كَانَ قَدِمَ بَغْدَادَ، فَأُمِرَ لَهُ بِمَالٍ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهُ. وعَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ: مَا رَأَيْنَا مِثْلَ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ، أَرْسَلَنَا إِلَيْهِ فَأَتَانَا بِالرِّقَّةِ، فَاعْتَلَّ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ، فَقُلْنَا لَهُ: يَا أَبَا عُمَرَ، قَدْ أُمِرَ لَكَ بِعَشَرَةِ آلَافٍ. [فَقَالَ: هِيهِ ]. فَقُلْتُ: هِيَ خَمْسُونَ أَلْفًا. فَقَالَ لِي: لَا حَاجَةَ لِي فِيهَا. فَقُلْتُ: وَلِمَ ؟ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَا هَنَيْتُكَهَا، هِيَ وَاللَّهِ مِائَةُ أَلْفٍ. قَالَ: لَا وَاللَّهِ لَا يَتَحَدَّثُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ أَنِّي أَكَلْتُ لِلسَّنَةِ ثَمَنًا، أَلَا كَانَ هَذَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تُرْسِلُوا إِلَيَّ ؟ فَأَمَّا عَلَى الْحَدِيثِ فَوَ اللَّهِ لَا شَرْبَةَ مَاءٍ وَلَا إِهْلِيلَجَةَ !. تُوُفِّيَ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ بِالْحَدَثِ. وَقِيلَ: فِي سَنَةِ إِحْدَى وَثَمَانِينَ. وَقِيلَ: سَبْعٍ وَثَمَانِينَ وَقِيلَ: ثَمَانٍ وَثَمَانِينَ. مَخْلَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ مَخْلَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ. كَانَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ، وَنَزَلَ الْمِصِّيصَةَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ بِهَا فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ، وَقَدْ أَسْنَدَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ. وعن عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ مَخْلَدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ: مَا تَكَلَّمْتُ بِكَلِمَةٍ أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَعْتَذِرَ عَنْهَا مُنْذُ خَمْسِينَ سَنَةً. وتوفي بها سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْأَبْرَشُ . وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ . الْفَقِيهُ الرَّاوِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ؛ الَّذِي هُوَ الْعُمْدَةُ فِي مَذْهَبِ مَالِكٍ فِيمَا يَرْوِيهِ عَنِ الْإِمَامِ مَالِكٍ، وَكَانَ مِنْ كِبَارِ الصَّالِحِينَ. وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ. وَمُعَمَّرٌ الرَّقِّيُّ وَفِيهَا تُوُفِّيَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّينَانِيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، مَوْلَى بَنِي قَطِيعَةَ، وَكَانَ مَوْلِدُهُ سَنَةَ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ وَمِائَةٍ. ( السِّينَانِيُّ بِكَسْرِ السِّينِ الْمُهْمَلَةِ، وَبِالْيَاءِ الْمُثَنَّاةِ مِنْ تَحْتٍ، وَبِالنُّونِ قَبْلَ الْأَلِفِ، ثُمَّ بِنُونٍ بَعْدَهُ، مَنْسُوبٌ إِلَى سِينَانَ، وَهِيَ قَرْيَةٌ مِنْ قُرَى مَرْوَ ).
Translation
✧ Those of the notables who died in this year Al-Bakhtarī b. Muḥammad al-Bakhtarī, Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Lakhmī al-Muʿaddal Al-Bakhtarī b. Muḥammad al-Bakhtarī, Abū Ṣāliḥ al-Lakhmī al-Muʿaddal. He narrated from Kāmil b. Ṭalḥah. Al-Ṭabarānī narrated from him. Al-Dāraquṭnī said: There is no harm in him. He died in this year. Khālid b. Ḥayyān, Abū Yazīd al-Kharrāz al-Raqqī Khālid b. Ḥayyān, Abū Yazīd al-Kharrāz al-Raqqī. He heard Jaʿfar b. Burqān and Furāt b. Salmān. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal and Yaḥyā b. Maʿīn narrated from him, and he said: He is trustworthy. He was extremely careful in precision and caution. He settled in al-Raqqah and died there in Dhū al-Qaʿdah of this year. ʿĪsā b. Yūnus b. Abī Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī, Abū ʿAmr al-Hamdānī al-Kūfī ʿĪsā b. Yūnus b. Abī Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī, Abū ʿAmr al-Hamdānī al-Kūfī. He saw his grandfather Abū Isḥāq, but he did not hear from him. He heard Ismāʿīl b. Abī Khālid, Hishām b. ʿUrwah, al-Aʿmash, al-Awzāʿī, Shuʿbah, Mālik b. Anas, and Ibn Isḥāq. Al-Qaʿnabī, Yaḥyā b. Maʿīn, ʿAlī b. al-Madīnī, and Ibn Rāhawayh narrated from him. He was trustworthy and reliable. He moved from Kūfah to one of the frontier fortresses of Syria and resided there. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal said: We were told that ʿĪsā would spend one year in military campaigns and one year in pilgrimage. He had come to Baghdād, and money was ordered for him, but he did not accept it. From Jaʿfar b. Yaḥyā b. Khālid, who said: We have not seen the like of ʿĪsā b. Yūnus. We sent for him, and he came to us at al-Raqqah. He fell ill before returning, so we said to him: O Abū ʿUmar, ten thousand have been ordered for you. [He said: Hah?] I said: It is fifty thousand. He said to me: I have no need of it. I said: Why not? By God, you will not enjoy it; by God, it is one hundred thousand. He said: No, by God, the people of knowledge will not say that I ate the price of the Sunnah. Should this not have been before you sent for me? As for the ḥadīth, by God, not a drink of water nor a myrobalan! He died in this year at al-Ḥadath. It is also said: in the year 181. And it is said: 187, and it is said: 188. Makhkhalad b. al-Ḥusayn, Abū Muḥammad Makhkhalad b. al-Ḥusayn, Abū Muḥammad. He was from the people of al-Baṣrah, and he settled in al-Maṣṣīṣah and died there in this year. He had transmitted from Hishām b. Ḥassān. From ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbd Allāh, who said: Makhkhalad b. al-Ḥusayn said: I have not uttered a word for which I would need to apologize for fifty years. And Salamah b. al-Faḍl al-Abrash died there. And ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. al-Qāsim. The jurist, the narrator from Mālik; he is the main authority in the school of Mālik in what he narrates from Imām Mālik, and he was one of the great righteous people. And Muḥammad b. Salamah. And Muʿammar al-Raqqī. In this year died al-Faḍl b. Mūsā al-Sīnānī, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Marwazī, a client of Banū Qaṭīʿah. His birth was in the year 115. (Al-Sīnānī, with kasrah on the unpointed sīn, and the yāʾ with two dots below, and a nūn before the alif, then another nūn after it, attributed to Sīnān, which is a village among the villages of Marw.)
