Translation
✧ The rebellion of Ḥazm against al-Ḥakam In the year one hundred and ninety-one, Ḥazm b. Wahb opposed [the amīr] in the district of Bāja, and others agreed with him. They made for Lisbon. Al-Ḥakam used to call Ḥazm in his letters 'al-Nabaṭī'. When al-Ḥakam heard news of him, he dispatched his son Hishām against him with a large force. He humiliated him and those with him, cut down the trees, and pressed them hard until they submitted, seeking a safe-conduct. So he granted him amnesty.
