ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ فِي سنة ست وثمانين ومائة سَارَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ مَاهَانَ مِنْ مَرْوَ إِلَى نَسَا لِحَرْبِ أَبِي الْخَصِيبِ، فَحَارَبَهُ، فَقَتَلَهُ وَسَبَى نِسَاءَهُ وَذَرَارِيَهُ، وَاسْتَقَامَتْ خُرَاسَانُ. وَفِيهَا: حَبَسَ الرَّشِيدُ ثُمَامَةَ بْنَ أَشْرَسَ لِوُقُوفِهِ عَلَى كَذِبِهِ فِي أَمْرِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عِيسَى بْنِ زَيْدٍ . وَكَانَتْ بِبَغْدَادَ رَجْفَةٌ شَدِيدَةٌ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعَشَاءِ فِي رَمَضَانَ.
Translation
✧ Mention of several events In the year one hundred and eighty-six, ʿAlī b. ʿĪsā b. Māhān marched from Marw to Nasā to fight Abū al-Khaṣīb. He fought him, killed him, and took captive his women and children, and Khurāsān became stable. In it [this year], al-Rashīd imprisoned Thumāma b. Ashras for his persistence in his lie concerning the affair of Aḥmad b. ʿĪsā b. Zayd. There was in Baghdad a severe earthquake between sunset and evening in Ramaḍān.
