الصَّحْصَحِ الْخَارِجِيِّ وَفِي سنة إحدى وسبعين ومائة خَرَجَ الصَّحْصَحُ الْخَارِجِيُّ بِالْجَزِيرَةِ ، وَكَانَ عَلَيْهَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فَوَجَّهَ عَسْكَرًا إِلَى الصَّحْصَحِ، فَلَقُوهُ، فَهَزَمَهُمْ، وَسَارَ الصَّحْصَحُ إِلَى الْمَوْصِلِ فَلَقِيَهُ عَسْكَرُهَا بِبَاجَرْمَى، فَقَتَلَ مِنْهُمْ كَثِيرًا، وَرَجَعَ إِلَى الْجَزِيرَةِ، فَغَلَبَ عَلَى دِيَارِ رَبِيعَةَ، فَسَيَّرَ الرَّشِيدُ إِلَيْهِ جَيْشًا بِدُورَيْنِ، فَقَتَلُوهُ، وَعَزَلَ الرَّشِيدُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ الْجَزِيرَةِ.
Translation
✧ Al-Ṣaḥṣaḥ al-Khārijī In the year one hundred and seventy-one, al-Ṣaḥṣaḥ al-Khārijī rose up in al-Jazīrah, where Abū Hurayrah was governor. He dispatched an army against al-Ṣaḥṣaḥ, and they met him, but he routed them. Al-Ṣaḥṣaḥ marched to al-Mawṣil, and its army met him at Bājarmā, and he killed many of them and returned to al-Jazīrah, gaining control over Diyār Rabīʿah. Al-Rashīd sent an army against him at Dūrayn, and they killed him, and al-Rashīd dismissed Abū Hurayrah from al-Jazīrah.
