Then the year 158 AH began
وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ فِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ وَصِيَّةِ عَمِّهِ إِلَيْهِ فِي ذَلِكَ، وَهُوَ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَقِيلَ: إِنَّ الَّذِي صَلَّى عَلَى الْمَنْصُورِ عِيسَى بْنُ مُوسَى وَلِيُّ الْعَهْدِ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَهْدِيِّ. وَالصَّحِيحُ الْأَوَّلُ; لِأَنَّهُ كَانَ نَائِبَ مَكَّةَ وَالطَّائِفِ. وَعَلَى إِمْرَةِ الْمَدِينَةِ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَى الْكُوفَةِ عَمْرُو بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ الضَّبِّيُّ، أَخُو الْمُسَيِّبِ بْنِ زُهَيْرٍ أَمِيرِ الشُّرْطَةِ لِلْخَلِيفَةِ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ، وَعَلَى خَرَاجِ الْبَصْرَةِ وَأَرْضِهَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، وَعَلَى صَلَاتِهَا وَقَضَائِهَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، وَعَلَى أَحْدَاثِهَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ دَعْلَجٍ.
Translation
✧ The pilgrimage for the people in this year was led by Ibrāhīm b. Yaḥyā b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī b. ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAbbās, in accordance with the bequest of his paternal uncle to him in that matter, and he is the one who prayed over him. It is said: The one who prayed over al-Manṣūr was ʿĪsā b. Mūsā, the heir apparent after al-Mahdī. The correct view is the first, because he was the governor of Makkah and al-Ṭāʾif. Over the governorship of al-Madīnah was ʿAbd al-Ṣamad b. ʿAlī; over al-Kūfah was ʿAmr b. Zuhayr al-Ḍabbī, the brother of al-Musayyab b. Zuhayr, the chief of the shurṭah for the caliph; over Khurāsān was Ḥumayd b. Qaḥṭabah; over the land tax of al-Baṣrah and its territory was ʿUmārah b. Ḥamzah; over its prayer and judiciary was ʿUbayd Allāh b. al-Ḥasan al-ʿAnbarī; and over its events was Saʿīd b. Daʿlaj.
