Then the year 158 AH began
وَفِي هَذِهِ السَّنَةِ غَزَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، صَاحِبُ الْأَنْدَلُسِ، مَدِينَةَ قُورِيَّةَ، وَقَصَدَ الْبَرْبَرَ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا أَسْلَمُوا عَامِلَهُ إِلَى شَقْنَا فَقَتَلَ مِنْهُمْ خَلْقًا مِنْ أَعْيَانِهِمْ، وَاتَّبَعَ شَقْنَا، حَتَّى جَاوَزَ الْقَصْرَ الْأَبْيَضَ وَالدَّرْبَ، فَفَاتَهُ.
Translation
✧ In this year, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, ruler of al-Andalus, raided the city of Qūriyya and marched against the Berbers who had delivered his governor over to Shaqnā. He killed many of their notables and pursued Shaqnā until he passed the White Castle and the pass, but he eluded him.
