Then the year 158 AH began

وَفِيهَا: أَمَرَ الْمَنْصُورُ بِمَرَمَّةِ الْقَصْرِ الْأَبْيَضِ الَّذِي كَانَ كِسْرَى بَنَاهُ، وَأَمَرَ أَنْ يُغَرَّمَ كُلُّ مَنْ وُجِدَ فِي دَارِهِ شَيْءٌ مِنَ الْآجُرِّ الْخَسْرَوَانِيِّ، قَالَ: هَذَا فَيْءِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَلَمْ يَتِمَّ ذَلِكَ وَلَا مَا أَمَرَ بِهِ مِنْ مَرَمَّةِ الْقَصْرِ.

Translation

✧ In this year: Al-Manṣūr ordered the repair of the White Palace that Kisrā had built, and he ordered that everyone in whose house any Khosrowan baked brick was found should be fined, saying: 'This is the fayʾ of the Muslims.' Neither that nor what he ordered regarding the repair of the palace was completed.
