Then the year 153 AH began

ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ ثَلَاثٍ وَخَمْسِينَ وَمِائَةٍ فِيهَا عَادَ الْمَنْصُورُ مِنْ مَكَّةَ إِلَى الْبَصْرَةِ فَجَهَّزَ جَيْشًا فِي الْبَحْرِ إِلَى الْكُرْكِ الَّذِينَ تَقَدَّمَ ذِكْرُ إِغَارَتِهِمْ عَلَى جُدَّةَ.

Translation

✧ Then the year 153 AH began In it, al-Manṣūr returned from Makkah to al-Baṣrah and equipped an army by sea against the Kurk, whose raid on Jeddah was previously mentioned.
