Then the year 149 AH began
ثُمَّ دَخَلَتْ سَنَةُ تِسْعٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ وَمِائَةٍ وَفِيهَا غَزَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّائِفَةَ أَرْضَ الرُّومِ وَمَعَهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ ، فَمَاتَ مُحَمَّدٌ فِي الطَّرِيقِ.
Translation
✧ Then the year 149 AH began In it, al-ʿAbbās b. Muḥammad raided the summer expedition into the land of the Byzantines, and with him were al-Ḥasan b. Qaḥṭabah and Muḥammad b. al-Ashʿath. Muḥammad died on the way.
