Then the year 147 AH began
وَفِيهَا أَغْزَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ الْأُمَوِيُّ صَاحِبُ الْأَنْدَلُسِ مَوْلَاهُ بَدْرًا، وَتَمَّامَ بْنَ عَلْقَمَةَ طُلَيْطُلَةَ، وَبِهَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ عُذْرَةَ، وَضَيَّقَا عَلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ أَسَرَاهُ هُوَ وَحَيَاةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ الْيَحْصُبِيُّ، وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، وَأَتَيَا بِهِمْ إِلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فِي جِبَابِ صُوفٍ وَقَدْ حُلِقَتْ رُءُوسُهُمْ وَلِحَاهُمْ وَقَدْ أُرْكِبُوا الْحَمِيرَ وَهُمْ فِي السَّلَاسِلِ، ثُمَّ صُلِبُوا بِقُرْطُبَةَ.
Translation
✧ In this year, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Umawī, the ruler of al-Andalus, sent his client Badr and Tammām b. ʿAlqama to Ṭulayṭula, where Hāshim b. ʿUdhra was, and they pressed him hard. Then they captured him, along with Ḥayāt b. al-Walīd al-Yaḥṣubī and ʿUthmān b. Ḥamza b. ʿUbayd Allāh b. ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb, and brought them to ʿAbd al-Raḥmān in woolen cloaks, their heads and beards shaved, mounted on donkeys and in chains. Then they were crucified in Qurṭuba.
