Then the year 142 AH began
وَفِيهَا: اخْتَطَّ الْمَنْصُورُ بَغْدَادَ، وَلَمْ يَشْرَعْ فِي الْبِنَاءِ.
Translation
✧ In this year: Al-Manṣūr laid out the plan for Baghdād, but he did not begin construction.
