Then the year 140 AH began
وَفِيهَا حَجَّ الْمَنْصُورُ، فَأَحْرَمَ مِنَ الْحِيرَةِ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى حَجَّهُ تَوَجَّهَ إِلَى بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ، وَسَارَ مِنْهُ إِلَى الرَّقَّةِ، فَقَتَلَ بِهَا مَنْصُورَ بْنَ جَعْوَنَةَ الْعَامِرِيَّ وَعَادَ إِلَى هَاشِمِيَّةِ الْكُوفَةِ.
Translation
✧ In it al-Manṣūr performed the pilgrimage; he entered iḥrām from al-Ḥīrah. When he had completed his pilgrimage, he set out for Bayt al-Maqdis, then traveled from there to al-Raqqah. There he killed Manṣūr b. Jaʿwanah al-ʿĀmirī and returned to Hāshimiyyat al-Kūfah.
