Then the Year 139 AH Began
وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ. وَكَانَ عَلَى مَكَّةَ وَالْمَدِينَةِ وَالطَّائِفِ: زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَارِثِيُّ، وَعَلَى الْكُوفَةِ عِيسَى بْنُ مُوسَى، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا: سَوَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ: أَبُو دَاوُدَ.
Translation
✧ The people were led in the pilgrimage this year by al-ʿAbbās b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī. Over Makkah, al-Madīnah, and al-Ṭāʾif was Ziyād b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥārithī; over al-Kūfah was ʿĪsā b. Mūsā; over al-Baṣrah was Sufyān b. Muʿāwiyah; over its judiciary was Sawwār b. ʿAbd Allāh; and over Khurāsān was Abū Dāwūd.
