Then the Year 138 AH Began
وَفِيهَا تُوُفِّيَ الْمِسْوَرُ بْنُ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْقُرَظِيُّ. وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ جُمْهَانَ أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، يَرْوِي عَنْ سَفِينَةَ حَدِيثَ " الْخِلَافَةُ ثَلَاثُونَ ". وَيُونُسُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، وَقِيلَ: تُوُفِّيَ سَنَةَ تِسْعٍ وَثَلَاثِينَ وَمِائَةٍ. وَمِمَّنْ تُوُفِّيَ فِيهَا: زَيْدُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، وَالْعَلَاءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَلَيْثٌ ابْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، فِي قَوْلٍ.
Translation
✧ In it died al-Miswar b. Rifāʿah b. Abī Mālik al-Quraẓī. And Saʿīd b. Jumhān Abū Ḥafṣ al-Aslamī, who related from Safīnah the ḥadīth, "The caliphate is thirty." And Yūnus b. ʿUbayd al-Baṣrī, and it is said: he died in the year one hundred and thirty-nine. Among those who died in it: Zayd b. Wāqid, and al-ʿAlāʾ b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, and Layth b. Abī Sulaym, according to one saying.
