Then the Year 139 AH Began
Translation
✧ Then the Year 139 AH Began In this year Ṣāliḥ b. ʿAlī and al-ʿAbbās b. Muḥammad completed the reconstruction of what the Byzantines had destroyed in Malaṭya. Then they raided in the summer campaign from Darb al-Ḥadath and penetrated deep into Byzantine territory. With Ṣāliḥ campaigned his two sisters, Umm ʿĪsā and Lubāba, daughters of ʿAlī; they had vowed that if the rule of the Umayyads ceased, they would fight in the path of God. From Darb Malaṭya campaigned Jaʿfar b. Ḥanẓala al-Bahrānī.
