Then the Year 138 AH Began

وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ الْفَضْلُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ. وَكَانَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَكَّةَ وَالطَّائِفِ: زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَارِثِيُّ، وَعَلَى الْكُوفَةِ وَسَوَادِهَا: عِيسَى بْنُ مُوسَى، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا: سَوَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ: أَبُو دَاوُدَ، وَعَلَى مِصْرَ: صَالِحُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ.

Translation

✧ The pilgrimage this year was led by al-Faḍl b. Ṣāliḥ b. ʿAlī. Over Madinah, Makkah, and al-Ṭāʾif was Ziyād b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥārithī; over al-Kūfah and its sawād was ʿĪsā b. Mūsā; over al-Baṣrah was Sulaymān b. ʿAlī; over its judiciary was Sawwār b. ʿAbd Allāh; over Khurāsān was Abū Dāwūd; and over Miṣr was Ṣāliḥ b. ʿAlī.
