Then the Year 133 AH Began
وَفِيهَا تَوَجَّهَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَالِدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِلَى الْخُتَّلِ فَدَخَلَهَا، وَلَمْ يَمْتَنِعْ عَلَيْهِ حُبَيْشُ بْنُ الشِّبْلِ مَلِكُهَا بَلْ تَحَصَّنَ مِنْهُ هُوَ وَأُنَاسٌ مِنَ الدَّهَّاقِينَ، فَلَمَّا أَلَحَّ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو دَاوُدَ خَرَجَ مِنَ الْحِصْنِ هُوَ وَمَنْ مَعَهُ مِنْ دَهَاقِينِهِ وَشَاكِرِيَّتِهِ حَتَّى انْتَهَوْا إِلَى أَرْضِ فَرْغَانَةَ، ثُمَّ دَخَلُوا بَلَدَ التُّرْكِ، وَانْتَهَوْا إِلَى مَلِكِ الصِّينِ، وَأَخَذَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ مَنْ ظَفِرَ بِهِ مِنْهُمْ، فَبَعَثَ بِهِمْ إِلَى أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ،
Translation
✧ In this year, Abū Dāwūd Khālid b. Ibrāhīm headed to al-Khuttal and entered it. Ḥubaysh b. al-Shibl, its king, did not resist him, but rather he and some of the dihqāns fortified themselves against him. When Abū Dāwūd pressed him hard, he emerged from the fortress, he and those with him from his dihqāns and his guards, until they reached the land of Farghānah, then entered the country of the Turks, and ended up with the king of China. Abū Dāwūd seized those of them he could capture and sent them to Abū Muslim.
