Then the Year 133 AH Began
وَفِيهَا خَرَجَ شَرِيكُ بْنُ شَيْخٍ الْمَهْرِيُّ بِبُخَارَى عَلَى أَبِي مُسْلِمٍ ، وَنَقَمَ عَلَيْهِ، وَقَالَ: مَا عَلَى هَذَا اتَّبَعْنَا آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنْ تُسْفَكَ الدِّمَاءُ وَأَنْ يُعْمَلَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ ! وَتَبِعَهُ عَلَى رَأْيِهِ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ ثَلَاثِينَ أَلْفًا، فَوَجَّهَ إِلَيْهِ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ زِيَادَ بْنَ صَالِحٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّ فَقَاتَلَهُ، وَقَتَلَهُ زِيَادٌ.
Translation
✧ In it, Sharīk b. Shaykh al-Mahrī rose in Bukhārā against Abū Muslim, and he found fault with him, and said: “It was not for this that we followed the family of Muḥammad: that blood should be shed and that other than the truth should be acted upon!” More than thirty thousand followed him in his view, so Abū Muslim dispatched Ziyād b. Ṣāliḥ al-Khuzāʿī against him, and he fought him, and Ziyād killed him.
