ذِكْرُ عِدَّةِ حَوَادِثَ وَفِيهَا وَجَّهَ السَّفَّاحُ أَخَاهُ الْمَنْصُورَ وَالِيًا عَلَى الْجَزِيرَةِ وَأَذْرَبِيجَانَ وَإِرْمِينِيَّةَ ، وَفِيهَا عَزَلَ عَمَّهُ دَاوُدَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ عَنِ الْكُوفَةِ وَسَوَادِهَا، وَوَلَّاهُ الْمَدِينَةَ وَمَكَّةَ وَالْيَمَنَ وَالْيَمَامَةَ، وَوَلَّى مَوْضِعَهُ مِنْ عَمَلِ الْكُوفَةِ ابْنَ أَخِيهِ عِيسَى بْنَ مُوسَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، فَاسْتَقْضَى عِيسَى عَلَى الْكُوفَةِ ابْنَ أَبِي لَيْلَى. وَكَانَ الْعَامِلَ عَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ الْمُهَلَّبِيُّ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، وَعَلَى السِّنْدِ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ جُمْهُورٍ، وَعَلَى فَارِسَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْأَشْعَثِ، وَعَلَى الْجَزِيرَةِ وَإِرْمِينِيَّةَ وَأَذْرَبِيجَانَ أَبُو جَعْفَرِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَى الْمَوْصِلِ يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَى الشَّامِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، وَعَلَى مِصْرَ أَبُو عَوْنٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ وَالْجِبَالِ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، وَعَلَى دِيوَانِ الْخَرَاجِ خَالِدُ بْنُ بَرْمَكَ. وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ هَذِهِ السَّنَةَ دَاوُدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ.
Translation
✧ Mention of Several Events In it, al-Saffāḥ appointed his brother al-Manṣūr as governor of al-Jazīrah, Adharbayjān, and Irminiyyah. In it, he dismissed his uncle Dāwūd b. ʿAlī from al-Kūfah and its Sawād, and appointed him over al-Madīnah, Makkah, al-Yaman, and al-Yamāmah. He appointed in his place over the governorship of al-Kūfah his nephew ʿĪsā b. Mūsā b. Muḥammad, and ʿĪsā appointed Ibn Abī Laylā as judge over al-Kūfah. The governor of al-Baṣrah this year was Sufyān b. ʿUyaynah al-Muhallabī, and its judge was al-Ḥajjāj b. Arṭāh. Over al-Sind was Manṣūr b. Jumhūr, over Fāris was Muḥammad b. al-Ashʿath, over al-Jazīrah, Irminiyyah, and Adharbayjān was Abū Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī, over al-Mawṣil was Yaḥyā b. Muḥammad b. ʿAlī, over al-Shām was ʿAbd Allāh b. ʿAlī, over Miṣr was Abū ʿAwn ʿAbd al-Malik b. Yazīd, over Khurāsān and al-Jibāl was Abū Muslim, and over the dīwān of the kharāj was Khālid b. Barmak. Dāwūd b. ʿAlī led the people in the pilgrimage this year.
