The Year 120 AH from the Prophetic Emigration
وَحَجَّ بِالنَّاسِ في سنة عشرين ومائة مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، وَقِيلَ: حَجَّ بِهِمْ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، وَقِيلَ: أَخُوهُ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ. وَكَانَ الْعَامِلَ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ وَمَكَّةَ وَالطَّائِفِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، وَعَلَى الْعِرَاقِ وَالْمَشْرِقِ يُوسُفُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، وَعَلَى خُرَاسَانَ نَصْرُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ، وَقَدْ أَمَرَهُ هِشَامٌ أَنْ يُكَاتِبَ يُوسُفَ بْنَ عُمَرَ، وَقِيلَ: كَانَ عَلَيْهَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ حَنْظَلَةَ، وَعَلَى الْبَصْرَةِ كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ السُّلَمِيُّ، اسْتَعْمَلَهُ يُوسُفُ، وَعَلَى قَضَائِهَا عَامِرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، وَعَلَى إِرْمِينِيَّةَ وَأَذْرَبِيجَانَ مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى قَضَاءِ الْكُوفَةِ ابْنُ شُبْرُمَةَ.
Translation
✧ The people were led in the Hajj in the year one hundred and twenty by Muḥammad b. Hishām b. Ismāʿīl al-Makhzūmī. It is said: Sulaymān b. Hishām b. ʿAbd al-Malik led them in the Hajj; and it is said: his brother Yazīd b. Hishām. And the governor over al-Madīnah, Makkah, and al-Ṭāʾif was Muḥammad b. Hishām al-Makhzūmī; over al-ʿIrāq and the East was Yūsuf b. ʿUmar; over Khurāsān was Naṣr b. Sayyār, and Hishām had ordered him to correspond with Yūsuf b. ʿUmar—and it is said: Jaʿfar b. Ḥanẓalah was over it; over al-Baṣrah was Kathīr b. ʿAbd Allāh al-Sulamī, whom Yūsuf appointed; over its judiciary was ʿĀmir b. ʿUbaydah; over Armenia and Adharbayjān was Marwān b. Muḥammad; and over the judiciary of al-Kūfah was Ibn Shubrumah.
